«Мяне Няма» Publishing House Releases Its First Translated Book

«Мяне Няма» Publishing House has announced the release of the first translated book in its catalogue — «Нашы зіхоткія целы» (Our Shimmering Bodies) by Alena Hlukhava. The original book was written in French by Belarusian Alena Hlukhava and was published three years ago by the major publishing house Gallimard. Alena Petrovich translated the book into Belarusian, reports bellit.info.
«Our Shimmering Bodies» is a novel about love. About when it has ended for one person, but (presumably) not yet for another. About what happens to those who were once close. A poetic-metaphorical narrative, full of references to astronomical and (meta)physical bodies and the trajectories of their fall.
The work is filled with fragmentary memories — about scattered summer dresses with nowhere to wear them, sour red wine in Minsk, night walks along a street in the city of Po, which the author and her beloved did not call "ours." And endless relocations (this is a family tradition for the author). There was also a little room for Derrida and Levinas.
Pre-orders for the book are now open, and the full edition will be released in October.
