Independence Avenue in Minsk to be partially closed again this weekend
This upcoming weekend, traffic will be temporarily closed on Independence Avenue in Minsk, at the exit from the city in the Uruchcha area towards Kurgan Slavy. Road surface repair will begin there.

Works will start at 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 17, on the section from Starynauskaya Street to the pedestrian crossing near house No. 202 on Independence Avenue.
For the first two days, from 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM, road workers will remove the old asphalt and lay the lower layer of new asphalt. On Saturday, September 19, works will continue from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. During this period, traffic is not planned to be restricted, but slow vehicle movement may cause traffic jams, especially on Friday evening.
More significant restrictions are planned for the weekend starting Saturday evening. Traffic towards the city will be completely blocked from 7:00 PM on September 19 to 12:00 PM on September 20. The exit from the city will be closed from 5:30 AM on September 20 to 6:30 AM on September 21, meaning until Monday morning. During this time, asphalt will be laid.
Drivers are advised to choose alternative routes in advance.
The last significant traffic restriction on Independence Avenue was due to bridge repairs between the circus and Victory Square. At that time, passage was closed from July 6 to August 28.
