Belarusian "Peacekeeper" Drone Spotted at a Parade in Libyan Benghazi

The Belarusian attack drone "Peacekeeper" was shown at a military parade in Benghazi, eastern Libya. Previously, there were no reports of such drones being supplied to this region. The transfer of attack drones to Libya without prior authorization from the UN Security Council Sanctions Committee violates the arms embargo imposed in 2011, writes Reform.news.

The parade of assault and airborne special forces units took place on October 15, 2026. A photo report was published by the press service of the Libyan National Army command.

The "Peacekeeper" was developed by the Belarusian design bureau "Unmanned Helicopters," formerly known as KB "INDELA." Initially, the device was created under the name "Berkut-BM" as a robotic aerial target. Later, the development was transformed into the "Peacekeeper" kamikaze attack drone. In 2023, the MILEX exhibition also showcased the "Peacekeeper-P" mobile counter-drone system.

Belarusian drones of this family have already appeared in reports on arms supplies to other countries. In February 2025, rebels from the M23 group seized a batch of military equipment, including new "Berkut-BM" drones in wooden crates, at Goma airport in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.

In June 2026, the Indian company SMPP announced the completion of the delivery of 100 Peacekeeper (Agniveg) jet-powered kamikaze attack drones and six training systems to the Indian army. According to Reform.news, these were Belarusian developments. The contract with "Belspecvneshtechnika" was signed in 2025. Earlier, Afghanistan International claimed that India was purchasing weapons from Belarus for the Taliban.

The parade in Benghazi was attended by the commander of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, Khalifa Haftar, and his son, deputy Saddam Haftar. The event was timed to coincide with the 12th anniversary of Haftar's forces entering Benghazi on October 15, 2014. Guests also included the head of the eastern Libyan government, Osama Hamad, military command, representatives of friendly states, and families of fallen servicemen.

Sergei Dudko

In the photographs, Reform.news journalists also noticed representatives from Belarus — Major General (reserve) Sergei Dudko and Captain Anton Pratsenka.

Anton Pratsenka

Libya is currently in a civil war, and the central government in Tripoli does not control most of the country's territory. The Libyan National Army, led by Khalifa Haftar, dominates the uncontrolled territory, and it is with him and his associates that Lukashenka's regime develops relations.
