The new production facility is planned to be located near the village of Gastei in the Bragança district in northern Portugal. The local spring was chosen not by chance: it is attributed with health-beneficial properties, including an antioxidant effect.

According to Grupo Outeirinho's head Francisco Ferreira, the idea for the partnership arose thanks to a company employee who is friends with one of Ronaldo's acquaintances. Through him, the footballer made contact with the company. Discussion of a project related to health and alkaline water led to an offer of joint business participation.

Grupo Outeirinho controls about 45% of the Portuguese water market. The new brand is being developed by an Italian design company. Its concept and visual image are still under development, but one of the main goals is to make the product accessible to a wide range of consumers. Construction of the factory is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.

This is not Ronaldo's first experience in the water business. In 2023, the Ursu9 mineral water brand was introduced in Spain, with the footballer also being one of its co-founders.

The 41-year-old Ronaldo has received the "Golden Ball" five times and won the Champions League the same number of times. As part of the Portuguese national team, he became European champion in 2016 and twice won the UEFA Nations League. The footballer also set a number of records, including the most goals for national teams.

In December 2022, Ronaldo signed a contract with the Saudi club Al-Nassr. For the team, he played 141 matches in all tournaments, scoring 121 goals and making 24 assists. In June 2025, the footballer concluded a new agreement with the club worth more than 400 million dollars, calculated until June 2027.

According to Forbes, Ronaldo also topped the list of the world's highest-paid footballers. In a year, he earned 280 million dollars: 230 million were salary and bonuses, and another 50 million were income from sponsorship contracts.
