Some Yandex applications for music and navigation will appear on one of the car models that the BelGee plant is preparing for release this year. The work will then continue with other cars. This was stated by BelGee director Gennady Svidersky.
He explains: the plant needs to obtain the right to make changes to the car's electronic systems. This involves work with the Horizont holding company on multimedia and an agreement with Geely, which should allow the implementation of software products popular in Belarus and Russia.
The first model and the exact set of services have not yet been named.
It was previously reported that Geely Holding (ZGH) entered into a global strategic partnership with Google. All eligible cars of the group's brands are set to integrate Google Automotive Services, including Google Gemini, Google Play, and Google Maps. It appears that in Belarus, Yandex will be used instead.
