A villager's house burned down, he himself was hospitalized after the fire. While he was recovering, fellow villagers twice burgled his home
For a 40-year-old resident of the Dzyatlava district, one misfortune followed another. After a fire, he was hospitalized for a long time, and while he was recovering, items were stolen from his damaged house twice. According to the police, both times it was done by fellow villagers. But each time by different ones.
The fire happened in early February. The house was partially burned, and the owner sustained injuries and had to undergo long-term treatment, according to the Hrodna Region police.
In spring, while the man was in the hospital, a chainsaw was stolen from the house. According to the police, a 69-year-old fellow villager was involved in the theft. He was detained.
But soon, someone else visited the semi-destroyed house. This time, a smartphone, a coffee grinder, and 30 packs of cigarettes disappeared.
According to the police, the items were taken by a different person – a 52-year-old resident of the same village. He faces up to four years in prison.
