The changes concern tourists applying for visas individually.
Companies that are bus operators on the Italian route and accredited with the Italian embassy report that for all those planning to travel through tour operators, nothing has changed, reports the Republican Union of Tourist Organizations.
Travel agencies continue to collect, verify, and submit documents in the usual routine mode.
On Monday, September 21, a meeting of accredited travel agencies with representatives of the Italian visa center and the Italian Embassy in Belarus will take place at the Italian visa center in Minsk, where clarity will be provided on whether there will be any changes for travel agencies regarding quotas and the procedure for submitting documents for Italian Schengen visas.
Earlier this week, it was reported that the acceptance of applications for Italian visas was suspended after it emerged that a suspect in a Leipzig sabotage received a visa in Minsk.
"Registration of new applicants for the waiting list is closed until further notice. When it will be resumed is currently unknown. Officially, the suspension is due to awaiting further instructions from the Italian Embassy," the message stated.
