In mid-September, the National Center for Personal Data Protection began an unscheduled inspection of Tez Tour LLC after a hacker attack on its website. Office Life asked Inna Leus, Deputy Director of the National Center for Personal Data Protection, about the progress of the inspection during the business forum "Law. Technologies. Responsibility".

Recall that on the evening of September 15, the Belarusian website of the international tour operator Tez Tour began to display an error upon opening. At the same time, a placeholder appeared on it with a message that the resource had been hacked. The company emphasized that no signs of data leakage from tourists and partners had been detected. The website was inaccessible for a long time, but its operation has now been restored.
As Inna Leus clarified, the inspection is not yet complete.
"The company says there was no leak. But whether there was one or not — that is precisely the subject of the inspection," said the representative of the NCPDP.
She added: the issue is that the company's data, like that of many operators in our country, is stored abroad. Therefore, specialists now need to find out whether a leak could have occurred both domestically and abroad.
