A Grodno pensioner reported to the police that a large sum of money had been stolen from her apartment. It turned out that she herself had securely hidden her savings but forgot where.

The pensioner called the Leninsky District Department of Internal Affairs of Grodno and reported the disappearance of money. Police officers arrived at her place, inspected the apartment, and found no signs of theft, according to the Department of Internal Affairs of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee.

They began searching for the savings. The hiding place was found among household items, bedding, and newspapers. Inside were banknotes of 50, 100, and 200 rubles.
The police did not disclose the total amount of money found.
