A grey crane was spotted in the yard of school No. 53 on Beda Street. According to an ornithologist, it is a young bird that got separated from its parents during autumn migration.

A Minsk resident published a video of the crane near the school on Threads. The bird calmly walked around the school yard
Ornithologist Alexander Vinchevsky believes that the crane was born this year: it doesn't yet have the characteristic red spot on its head.
«It simply got separated from its parents and the flock,» the specialist explained.
According to Vinchevsky, the bird is not injured and is able to fly, so it doesn't need human help. The crane will be able to get out of the city and join another flock. The active migration of these birds continues until November.
The ornithologist advises not to catch or feed the crane, so as not to accustom it to people.
The grey crane is listed in the Red Book of Belarus.
