In October 2026, Belarus opened two new embassies in Asia — in Pyongyang, the capital of the DPRK, and Naypyidaw, the capital of Myanmar. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

Agreements on opening diplomatic missions were reached during earlier meetings between Alexander Lukashenka and the leaders of these countries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the opening of embassies is part of Belarus's targeted policy to strengthen its presence in countries of the "distant arc". The work of the new diplomatic missions will be aimed at further developing mutually beneficial relations with the DPRK and Myanmar.
However, the new embassies are not yet listed on the website of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, so their addresses cannot yet be obtained from an official source.
