Kanye West earned 20 million dollars from canceled concerts in Russia
Kanye West was supposed to perform in St. Petersburg on October 10 and 11, but both concerts were canceled. According to "Kommersant", the American rapper has already received about 20 million dollars for them. And, it is likely, he will not return this money.

American rapper Kanye West, also known as Ye, received about 20 million dollars for two concerts in St. Petersburg. This was reported by "Kommersant" with reference to two sources familiar with the situation. The performances were supposed to take place on October 10 and 11 at the "Gazprom Arena", but were canceled for unknown reasons. It is likely that they were not approved at the very top.
One of the newspaper's interlocutors clarified that the entire sum is not the musician's personal earnings.
"This is not a net fee – from this money, for example, the services of his staff are paid," he said.
According to the second source, West will likely not return the money for the concerts, as this is not stipulated in his contract.
The concerts were organized by the Moscow agency Say Agency. It promises to start refunding money for tickets on October 12 – after the dates when the concerts were scheduled. Buyers are already filing lawsuits demanding a refund of funds.
The head of the agency, Hanna Subchava, insists that the company has not violated "a single law". According to her, competitors created a wave of negativity around the concerts, and the media amplified it.
Propagandists on "Solovyov Live" after the news about Kanye West's concert criticized "Gazprom": "It's interesting when this shame will stop."
