22-year-old model from St. Petersburg dies in Dokshytsy district
Elina Mikhailova's life tragically ended near the village of Kalnik in Dokshytsy district when an oncoming car crashed into the Kia she was traveling in.
The tragedy happened on the last day of summer. Elina was traveling with a couple of friends — Hanna and Dzianis (who planned to get married a month later) in a Kia car. Her beloved, 22-year-old Ruslan Andreyev, was driving. The girl was sitting next to the driver.
The official accident reports describe it succinctly: around 2:30 PM, on the 113th kilometer of the "Minsk-Vitebsk" highway, a 51-year-old driver of a Ford Galaxy drove into the oncoming lane and collided with the Kia.
As a result of the head-on collision, Elina was trapped in the car along with the driver. Rescuers extracted them.
All victims of the accident were sent to hospitals. Ruslan suffered numerous injuries and fractures, and a head injury. Hanna was in critical condition — significant blood loss, an open craniocerebral head injury, broken ribs, multiple pelvic and leg fractures; her spleen was removed. Dzianis was the luckiest, eventually managing to return to Russia on his own.
Elina died at the scene — she has already been buried in St. Petersburg.
Even in her school years, the girl was actively involved in modeling. Her profile states that Elina graduated from art school, participated in a theater group, and studied contemporary dance. Already in her school years, Elina Mikhailova worked as a professional model — she participated in shows for Russian and European brands and appeared in advertisements.
She participated in shows for European and Russian retail brands. In 2017, the girl walked the runway at Crimean Fashion Kids Week in Crimea.
After school, Mikhailova entered the Russian State Pedagogical University.
