Tsikhanouskaya: Negotiations for the Release of People Are Difficult
The leader of the democratic forces of Belarus commented on the release of 25 political prisoners. In a video address, she noted that negotiations for the release of people are difficult, but this work cannot be stopped.
"I am very happy for everyone who is finally free today. And also for their relatives and loved ones who have been waiting for this day. We also see how difficult negotiations for the release of people are. Each release requires great effort, and it is clear that Lukashenka does not want to release all political prisoners," said Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.
She expressed gratitude to the American side for the difficult negotiation work.
"It is important that, despite all the difficulties, it brings a concrete humanitarian result — people are being released. That is why this work cannot be stopped," the politician emphasized.
