Krista Pike, who unsuccessfully faced execution, discharged from hospital and returned to prison
In the USA, Krista Pike, sentenced to death, has been discharged from hospital after an unsuccessful attempt to carry out the sentence at the end of September. This was reported by her lawyers, writes BBC.

The 50-year-old woman has been returned to prison, where she has spent the last 30 years. There, she continues to receive the necessary medical care.
On September 30, Pike survived two injections of a lethal dose of pentobarbital. After this, she was hospitalized in serious condition. Earlier this week, the woman regained consciousness and began to speak, surprising medics, experts, and her lawyers. According to her defenders, her first words were: "Where am I?" and "Who are you?"
A statement from her lawyers says that Pike is grateful to the emergency services and medical team for their help in these extraordinary circumstances.
This case is called unprecedented: Pike is considered to be the only person to have survived an attempted execution by lethal injection.
At a court hearing on Wednesday, Tennessee Assistant Attorney General Will Ayers informed the judge that he did not know if authorities planned to set a new execution date.
The judge also ordered state authorities to preserve all evidence related to the botched execution attempt. These materials may be used in a future lawsuit against the state.
Pike was 18 years old when she, along with her then-boyfriend Tadar Ship, beat, tortured, and killed 19-year-old Colleen Slemmer. They met at a training center for young people from low-income families.
