The cat, who is over 90 years old in human terms, underwent a minor operation, after which he is gradually recovering. The animal already feels better, although a large scar and a patch of skin with shaved fur remained after the procedure.
A source from the Prime Minister's residence on Downing Street told LBC radio station that Larry is again walking around the building, where he has diligently ensured there are no rodents for 15 years.
«He is feeling much better, but is behaving cautiously, step by step. We are grateful to the veterinarians for their excellent care,» — wrote the press service of British Prime Minister Andy Burnham.
