18-year-old blogger, tried for financial fraud with money collected for Vanya Stetsenka's treatment, has been released
Mikhail Dragun was awaited from prison by his 38-year-old beloved Yauheniya Tarasenka and their daughter Agata, who is only a month old.
38-year-old blogger Yauheniya Tarasenka published a video on Instagram with the caption: «I waited... How many likes do we deserve?». In the video, 18-year-old Mikhail, who became a father while behind bars, holds his one-month-old daughter Agata and kisses his beloved.
Yauheniya shared in her blog that the guy surprised her with his appearance. She was expecting Mikhail on September 8th, but he was released yesterday. The blogger arrived at Soy sushi bar, which belongs to Yauheniya, and asked the staff to call her urgently.
As a result, the blogger received a message from her employees that something terrible had happened and she was urgently needed. Yauheniya rushed to the spot within 10 minutes and saw Dragun.
To recap: Mikhail Dragun and Yauheniya Tarasenka are popular bloggers in Grodno. In 2024, the couple even participated in the pro-government reality show «Blogger Factory».
But many learned about them after a high-profile scandal involving a charity collection.
According to official information, Mikhail, together with his beloved, offered subscribers to participate in a lottery for 10 rubles, where the main prizes were smartphones or a car. The organizers stated that only a small portion of the money would go to prizes, and the rest would be donated for the boy's treatment. Money was collected for eight-year-old Vanya Stetsenka, who has a severe genetic disease — Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The injection the boy needed cost 2.9 million dollars.
In total, the bloggers collected 1.5 million rubles. But they transferred only 200,000 rubles to the sick child's mother, 315,000 were spent on prizes for stream participants. The rest was used for a luxurious lifestyle.
Mikhail ended up behind bars when he was still 17.
He was tried this July. Dragun was found guilty of causing property damage through deception and abuse of trust, as well as defamation. Additionally, about 130,000 rubles, which the court recognized as income from the crime, were confiscated in favor of the state.
Mikhail was given one year and six months of imprisonment.
Dragun had been held in the pre-trial detention center since mid-December 2025, and since for minors one day in a pre-trial detention center counts as two, he was able to be released much earlier.
Yauheniya had previously shared in her blog that they had planned the child in advance, with Mikhail being the initiator.
It so happened that shortly after the couple learned about the pregnancy, Mikhail ended up behind bars. In letters from the pre-trial detention center, he asked his beloved not to have an abortion.
The young father came up with the name Agata for their daughter. It was also important for the mother that the child carried the Dragun surname.
It is likely that Mikhail will soon return to blogging. Yauheniya has already written that the guy will be sharing stories on his Telegram channel.
