Yaroslav Charnahor Congratulated Belarusians on the Anniversary of the Victory at Orsha
On September 8, during an official briefing by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Ambassador-at-Large Yaroslav Charnahor, who is responsible for contacts with Belarusian democratic forces, publicly congratulated Belarusians on the 512th anniversary of the Battle of Orsha.

Yaroslav Charnahor reminded that on September 8, 1514, the army of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Kingdom of Poland, commanded by Prince Konstanty Ostrogski, defeated the Muscovite army.
“This battle is part of the common historical heritage of Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, and Poland,” Charnahor emphasized.
He also noted that the main lesson of Orsha remains relevant even after five centuries: our peoples best succeeded in resisting Muscovite expansion when they united their forces.
