Minsk resident invited to star in a movie. But the directors were interested in something else entirely
Minsk car enthusiast Maxim was invited to star in a movie in Vitebsk. But the film crew was interested not in him, but in his car. The man shared his story on Threads, noted the publication Blizko.by.
Maxim is the owner of a bright yellow 1982 Mercedes-Benz W123. He recently bought the car in Brest. The man notes that the previous owner handed him the car in good condition. After working on the fuel and brake systems, the new owner got a usable "steed".
The car somewhat resembles an old taxi — and this is precisely what led to the invitation to a film about the USSR in the 1980s. According to the legend, the main character was riding in the "Mercedes". But the owner was not forgotten: he got an episodic role as a driver.
"They did my makeup, shaved me, put on worn-out pants and a suede jacket — and voilà, I'm already a black market taxi driver from the Perestroika era! I realized that filming is not chilling at all, but just work. They squeezed me dry like a lemon in a day, but the emotions are only positive. Let my 'Mercedes' bring aesthetic joy and positivity to people — that's why I bought a retro car!" — the man shared his emotions.
