In Belarus, they plan to increase the room capacity of sanatoriums by approximately 30%. This was reported by Dzianis Biazhok, Deputy Director of the National Tourism Agency of Belarus.

According to him, Belarusian sanatoriums have significant potential to increase the number of vacationers. Some sanatoriums have 200-300 to 500-600 rooms, and the occupancy of some of them is approaching 100%. Therefore, as noted by Biazhok, there is an opportunity to increase the number of places.
Russian companies can also join in investing in the Belarusian sanatorium and resort industry. The National Tourism Agency is considering the possibility of offering entire projects to investors. In Belarus, there are more than ten land plots where the construction of new facilities is envisaged. Among them are sites in the Mogilev and Vitebsk regions, including in the area of the Braslav Lakes. For some of them, work with potential investors is already underway, and preliminary agreements for the future have been reached.
