Singer Alexander Saladukha told on the air of the TV channel «RTR-Belarus» how Alexander Lukashenka sang his iconic song «Chuzhaya Milaya» with him, writes the Belarusian «Komsomolka».
The singer, known for his special attitude to dates and numbers, named the exact date of the unusual duet — September 30, 1995. Lukashenka was also present at the banquet after the charity concert at the Minsk Musical Comedy Theater.
«Suddenly, unexpectedly, Alexander Grigoryevich says: «Sasha, sing your signature song», — recalls Saladukha, clarifying that the song in question was «Chuzhaya Milaya». — I was a bit confused, there was no guitar, but Oleg Eliseenkov (composer and singer, a close friend of Saladukha) and his wife pointed with their eyes to the piano that stood in the corner of the hall. I said: no problem».
When the artist sat down at the «Belarus» piano and opened the lid over the keys, Lukashenka approached him.
«Alexander Grigoryevich stood, leaned his elbow on the piano, like an opera singer. There was — tomb-like silence. Government members, artists, poets, composers.
