Flydubai Plane Saved by Indian Pilot and Three Passengers, One a Dentist. Second Pilot Tied with Headphone Wires and Zippers
Israeli dentist Shata Musaev helped neutralize the second pilot of the Flydubai flight, who is suspected of attempting to crash the plane, and then provided medical assistance to the severely wounded captain.

Musaev told Israeli publication Ynet in an interview that upon hearing shouts, he ran to the front of the plane.
"I was going to fight a terrorist, not provide medical assistance," he admitted.
According to him, a passenger named Yaniv was the first to rush to help, and the dentist himself joined when he realized something serious was happening.
The second pilot, who is from Oman, was only subdued with great difficulty. He fiercely resisted and tried to break free. Passengers tied his hands and feet with headphone wires and jacket zippers.

Meanwhile, the captain lay on the floor, bleeding heavily from wounds on his head and hands. He remained conscious, spoke with passengers, and stated that he was 39 years old and had two children. According to Musaev, the assailant struck the pilot and cursed at him.
"I was the only doctor on the plane. I managed to stop the bleeding," the dentist said.
Until landing, the captain's condition remained relatively stable, though it slightly worsened before touchdown. After landing, Saudi medics assisted him. It was from them that Musaev learned the pilot had survived and was no longer in danger.
Shata Musaev described the most frightening moment during the flight as the rapid loss of altitude. According to him, in about half a minute, the plane rapidly descended, and passengers were convinced they would die.
On September 30, during a flight over Jordan, Flydubai flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv first transmitted the general emergency code 7700, and then code 7500. The latter signifies unlawful interference with aircraft control and is typically used during an attempted hijacking.
The aircraft sharply descended, turned around, and headed towards Saudi Arabia. Communication with the crew was lost for some time, but it later landed safely at a Saudi airport. Aboard the Boeing 737 MAX 8 were 174 passengers, mostly Israelis.
It turned out that one of the pilots tried to crash the plane, and the second one prevented it. This second pilot was Indian Smith Machhar. After receiving a stab wound and bleeding heavily, he gathered his last strength and managed to open the cockpit door.
