"Didn't like the products on the shelf — and they write an SMS there." The Ministry of Internal Affairs called Threads a security threat and announced arrests

A representative of the ministry said that Belarusians are already being punished for posts on this social network.

Natalia Sakharuk, head of the Information and Public Relations Department, reflected on the danger of Threads. She is concerned about the large number of complaints from Belarusians on this social network. And also the fact that Threads is used by people aged 30-40.

"At the moment, it is indeed a security threat. Why? Because many people generally do not understand this social network. In Threads, according to all recent studies, the age category is mainly 30-40 years old. This is the most active category, which also wants to be on trend.

Everyone understood one thing perfectly: that it is enough to write some SMS in Threads... For example, I didn't like the products on the shelf, or I didn't like how a traffic police officer looked at me, or I didn't like how someone walked by and committed some action in relation... Everything is immediately posted on social networks," Sakharuk said on STB.

According to the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, all crimes should be reported directly to the police. But for some reason, people post everything on social networks. According to Sakharuk, this is to gain hype. Therefore, the security forces have already begun to punish the authors of posts. Moreover, Sakharuk threatens them with criminal charges.

"During monitoring, we have repeatedly identified such posts for which people have faced administrative responsibility. And I want to say that one can be brought not only to administrative, but also to criminal responsibility. Because one must think with their head what they post on any social network, because the consequences will not be long in coming," noted the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

She stated that the police monitor social networks around the clock and, if necessary, react instantly.
