The long-time head of "Khoroshki" was 90 years old.

Valentina Hayavaya, the founder of the Belarusian State Academic Honored Choreographic Ensemble "Khoroshki", laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Belarus, People's Artist of Belarus, died today, October 3rd, reports "Kultura i Mastatstva" (Culture and Art).
Valentina Hayavaya was born on July 22, 1936, in the village of Danilovka in the then Stalingrad Krai (today Volgograd Oblast, Russia).
In 1965, she graduated from the Higher Trade Union School of the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions in Leningrad. From 1967, she was the artistic director of the children's choreographic studio at the House of Culture of the Kirov Plant in Mogilev, and from 1973 – ballet master of the Belarusian State Philharmonic.
In 1974, together with Nikolai Dudchenko, she founded the choreographic ensemble "Khoroshki", becoming its artistic director and principal ballet master.
In 1989, Valentina Hayavaya was awarded the title of People's Artist of the BSSR.
