At the "Grodno Azot" enterprise, commissioning works are being carried out in the "Ammonia-3" workshop after scheduled maintenance. Residents of Grodno were warned that a flare would burn at the plant during these works.

During the warm-up of the main sections of the workshop, technological gas is used. Until the completion of commissioning operations, it is directed to a flare system, where combustible substances contained in the gas are burned. This procedure is stipulated by the technological regulations for ammonia production.
The plant reported that commissioning works may continue for several days. After ammonia production begins, the burning of gas at the flare system will stop.
The enterprise emphasized that the works carried out pose no threat to the city, its residents, the environment, or the plant's employees.
