Famous Russian rapper can't perform in Minsk — unlucky with laws, then with health

On September 25, Bushido Zho was scheduled to perform at the Minsk Palace of Sports. He is a young and promising Russian rapper: his tracks garner millions of listens on streaming platforms and are constantly present in Russian charts.

Belarusian listeners had been waiting for Zhaas Maskurov's concert since December 2025 — at that time, the rapper announced he would perform on April 30, 2026, at the Falcon Club Arena. However, the performance was canceled, explained by "changes in Belarusian legislation and the impossibility of holding the concert with the previous organizer."

What laws could they have referred to? Since September 2025, resolution No. 454b has been in effect in the country, according to which concerts with Belarusian or foreign performers can only be held by organizers included in the relevant register. However, Bushido Zho announced his arrival in Belarus several months later, and at the time of the concert's cancellation, that resolution had already been in effect for six months.

Bushido Zho's visit was postponed to autumn. But on September 22, just three days before the Russian's performance at the Palace of Sports, the rapper announced unpleasant news in his stories:

"Unfortunately, we are forced to postpone the concert that was supposed to take place on September 25 to December. This is because I am abroad and undergoing several medical examinations, and it so happened that they all coincided on one date. I knew this would happen and couldn't tell you about the postponement earlier because we didn't have a new date. But it will definitely be in December, I will announce the date within a few days.

The first time, unfortunately, the club moved our event to another, larger venue. We started selling tickets for it, which is great news. But it so happened that this is the second time I'm telling you about a postponement."

Zhaas explains his late announcement about the postponement by saying that the organizers did not have a new date earlier. However, the explanation seems strange, as even now he does not specify when exactly in December the concert will take place, nor does he name the venue.

Perhaps Bushido Zho had to cancel the concert simply for ideological reasons? In the comments section of the artist's Telegram channel, there's an interesting message from one of the moderators: they write that no one is to blame for the postponements and it's not so easy to hold a concert in Minsk.

And Bushido Zho himself has lyrics that not every ideologist might reconcile with. In his tracks, he uses profanity, mentions drugs, alcohol, and violence. In GLOCK17, he sings "Don't anger me, I'll beat you in your apartment," and in DRUNK — "Hello, we're in the club, I'm drunk."
