This is the 19th vanished village since the beginning of the year.

The information bulletin 'Changes in the Names of Geographical Objects of the Republic of Belarus' has been updated on the Belgeodeziya website. From it, it became known that another village has disappeared in Belarus, writes Blizko.by.
This is the village of Pirevichy in the Dobrogoshchansky village council of the Zhlobin district of the Gomel region (a village with the same name, which is the center of the village council in the Zhlobin district, remained). The decision on this was made on September 23, 2026.

The changes have already been entered into the database of the State Cartographic and Geodetic Center. Thus, a total of 19 settlements have already disappeared in Belarus this year.

Overall, as of January 1, 2026, there were 22,972 villages in Belarus, which means 22,953 remain.
