Vanya Stsetsenka's father recorded a video message. He is dissatisfied that bloggers are gaining publicity at his family's expense

Ivan Stsetsenka's father: "We did not ask him to do anything illegal"

The trial of Mikhail Dragun divided Hrodna: some did not understand Ivan's mother, Aliaksandra, who did not support him in court.

Mikita Stsetsenka begins the video by saying that he has been silent for too long, but his patience has now reached its limit. The man emphasizes that the events unfolded around a small child with a serious illness — Duchenne-Becker muscular dystrophy, in which a person loses the ability to walk and breathe independently.

"Someone decided to turn someone else's misfortune into hype, gossip, a show. Into an attempt to portray themselves as the main savior. We didn't need hype and popularity; we needed help, because it was about the life of our son Ivan," says the father in the video.

Mikita does not mention the blogger's name, but from indirect signs, it becomes clear that he is talking about Mikhail Dragun. In particular, the man says that "the person appeared when 50% of the required amount had been collected."

The father claims that Dragun later transferred 4% of the amount collected from raffles. Another 43% was donated by sympathetic Belarusians.

"The fundraising was finally closed when law enforcement agencies convinced individuals whose bank accounts were used to transfer the necessary amount," says the father.

Mikita Stsetsenka was outraged by the blogger's claims that without his help, the family would not have been able to raise the required amount for treatment. The father called on Dragun not to rewrite history and expressed gratitude for the help.

"But why should we continue to defend him before the law and answer for his actions? We did not ask him to do anything illegal; something that later caused us problems."

Mikita Stsetsenka claims that after a criminal case was opened against Dragun, his wife Aliaksandra had to hire a lawyer to protect her rights. The man also called on Dragun not to mention his wife's name, and if any questions arose, to deal with him directly.

"Leave my family alone. We have already been through enough," Mikita Stsetsenka concluded.

Mikhail Dragun: "My dear, you would have gotten three kopecks"

In a private Telegram channel, Mikhail Dragun published a video concerning his story with the court proceedings. There he admitted that during the petition to change the preventive measure, "the injured mother of the child" was present at the hearing. The woman opposed the change in Dragun's preventive measure and asked to deny the petition.

"Well, her speech in court, the mother's, also didn't satisfy me. She spoke with such bravado, as if I owed her and was obliged to her. So. She said that I made a show out of it and didn't give a f*** about the child. I thought: f***, my dear, if I didn't give a f***, you would have gotten three kopecks," Dragun says in the video.

According to the blogger's calculations, thanks to his help, the family received at least 550,000 rubles. Mikhail was also offended that he did not receive gratitude for his fundraising activities. According to him, Aliaksandra said that Mikhail's further fate was indifferent to her.

Already after the publication of Mikita Stsetsenka's video, a new video appeared on Dragun's Telegram channel. The blogger said that "one circle" would be enough to discuss this topic.

"This commentator wasn't even invited to court; they didn't deem it necessary. I'm so pleased that you are writing about me there [in the comments under the video — Hrodna.life]," Dragun said.

Afterward, comments under the father's video were disabled.

Ivan Stsetsenka received the necessary drug in February 2026. The treatment took place at a Dubai clinic. Afterward, the family returned to Hrodna.

Hrodna blogger Mikhail Dragun was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months of imprisonment in July 2026. Mikhail was tried for causing property damage without signs of theft on a large scale and slander. Mikhail was also ordered to pay Aliaksandra Stsetsenka's lawyer (1500 rubles) and moral compensation for slander — 1700 rubles.

Mikhail Dragun was released in September 2026.
