Outdoor advertising of gambling will be banned in Belarus. But there will be exceptions
Belarus plans to completely ban the placement of outdoor advertising for gambling. The corresponding draft law was developed by the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade.

According to Yulia Khvalyuk, a consultant from the advertising department of the Ministry of Trade's consumer rights protection and advertising control department, there are currently no restrictions in Belarus on the volume of placement and distribution of advertising for gambling establishments and gambling.
According to her, the prepared draft law provides for changes both in the requirements for the content of such advertising, including advertising for virtual gambling establishments, and in the places where it can be placed and distributed.
One of the mandatory requirements will be a warning that winnings are not guaranteed and there is a risk of financial losses.
The main innovation is a complete ban on outdoor advertising of gambling establishments, including virtual ones, and gambling.
However, a number of exceptions are provided. Advertising signs may be placed on vehicles and in their interiors, at public transport stops, bus stations and railway stations, as well as in multi-apartment residential buildings, retail facilities, catering facilities, and shopping centers.
The draft law was developed in fulfillment of Alexander Lukashenka's instructions. The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade states that its goal is to improve the legal regulation of the gambling business and prevent the development of gambling addiction, especially among young people.
Earlier, Lukashenka drew attention to aggressive advertising of gambling establishments and instructed officials to study gambling business advertising more carefully.
