Budanov: Ukraine is ready for a ceasefire, while Russia finds reasons for it not to happen
According to Budanov, the Ukrainian side has already publicly formulated its proposal regarding the cessation of hostilities.

Ukraine has already proposed an immediate ceasefire, but Russia is not showing readiness to agree and continues to find reasons for refusal. This was stated by Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, in an interview with NewsForce, as reported by RBC-Ukraine.
According to Budanov, the Ukrainian side has already publicly formulated its proposal regarding the cessation of hostilities.
«At this moment, there is a very open proposal, voiced by the President of Ukraine himself: Ukraine calls for an immediate ceasefire,» noted the Head of the President's Office.
At the same time, Moscow's position, according to his assessment, remains contrary. Russia is not demonstrating readiness to agree to a ceasefire and continues to name reasons why this should not happen now.
«Russia is now very openly stating that it does not want this, that it is not ready, and is finding reasons why this should not happen now,» said Budanov.
The Head of the President's Office also drew attention to Russia's actions. According to him, they do not currently indicate Moscow's readiness to end the war.
He separately emphasized the importance of the United States' participation in the peace process. According to Budanov, Washington's influence creates an opportunity for Ukraine to move towards ending the war.
«Given the influence of the US, we have a chance to achieve peace. And we are doing everything in our power,» said the Head of the Office.
