In a St. Petersburg Hostel, an Azerbaijani Man Stabbed a Belarusian Who Wanted to Work in His Place
The Belarusian himself packed the predecessor's belongings and asked him to leave sooner.

The victim of the conflict in the St. Petersburg hostel "Livadia" was a 38-year-old Belarusian man. His name is not mentioned in the court decision; he is encrypted as P.
The killer is 32-year-old Azerbaijani Tural Jangir oglu Ramazanov, a native of Georgia. He lived and worked in the hostel, but it was decided to hire the Belarusian to replace him.
According to a witness who also lived in the hostel, the Belarusian began to independently pack Ramazanov's belongings and urged him to leave. Initially, there was a verbal conflict between them, then a fight, in which the Belarusian repeatedly hit the Azerbaijani in the face. "At some point, Ramazanov took a folding knife from his pocket, then asked: 'Well, are we going to fight now?' — and attacked," the witness recounted.
The Azerbaijani man inflicted five blows — to the neck, chest, shoulder, and wrist. All of this took a few seconds and was captured by a surveillance camera.
After the attack, the wounded Belarusian returned to the hostel on his own, pressing his clothing against the wound on his neck, then went outside and waited for an ambulance. Medics recorded a penetrating chest wound, pneumothorax, and a loss of one liter of blood. A month later, the Belarusian died in the hospital: pneumonia and pleurisy developed, leading to pulmonary-cardiac insufficiency.
In court, Ramazanov partially admitted guilt: he claimed he was defending himself, and that he accidentally hit the chest and neck. However, the video showed that the Belarusian was not hitting or threatening anyone at that moment, while the Azerbaijani was advancing on him, continuing to inflict blows.
The verdict — 8 years in a penal colony for the killer.
