German police are investigating an attempted attack on a defense company after unknown assailants threw incendiary devices at a construction site in front of the Rohde & Schwarz headquarters in Munich, writes "European Pravda".
Around midnight in Munich, incendiary devices were thrown from a car onto a construction site in front of the headquarters of the technology company Rohde & Schwarz.
One of them ignited near construction containers in front of the company's office.
A police patrol immediately arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire. No one was injured in the fire, and the flames did not reach the company's premises.
At the scene, rescuers found another incendiary device that had not exploded. It was defused by specialists from the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office.
During the search, police detained two suspects at a nearby gas station. According to police, they are a 28-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man. Both are citizens of Bulgaria.
Their connection to the incident has not yet been established. There is also no information about possible motives.
The technology group Rohde & Schwarz is actively involved in areas such as security and communication technologies for government agencies and the military.
In March, the company signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ukrainian drone manufacturer Pegasus Arms. Together, they were to cooperate in the development of advanced reconnaissance systems.
Earlier it was reported that a fire occurred at the plant of the Polish company WB Electronics, which produces drones for the Polish and Ukrainian armies; before that, an unknown person in a balaclava allegedly appeared at the facility.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that the fire at the plant producing components for drones in Skarżysko-Kamienna was an act of sabotage.
Danish intelligence services warned that Russian special services are already preparing to organize sabotage at military-industrial complex facilities in the country.
