In May, an armored vehicle with a machine gunner's position and a vehicle with an electronic warfare system were first spotted in his motorcade. The airspace during the Russian president's movement was controlled by a helicopter.
Against the backdrop of active drone attacks on Russian territory and Moscow, security measures have become even stricter. According to a source close to the Kremlin, presidential motorcades sometimes travel through the capital without Putin himself, to confuse potential attackers regarding his actual whereabouts.
