A new scam scheme has appeared in Telegram, which attackers have already started using. They use built-in mini-apps, which became more accessible after the messenger's recent update on August 25.
A user might receive a message with an appealing button — for example, offering to play a game, take a survey, or get a prize.
After clicking, a window opens in Telegram that looks like a regular and safe service. However, the person may then be asked to enter personal data, confirm an action, or connect their account. If you trust such a request and enter your details, you could lose access to your account or even money.
Specialists advise not to click on suspicious buttons in messages from unknown people and not to enter personal information in windows that open via dubious links. If an offer looks too good to be true, it's better to close it and independently verify the information through official sources.
