«There are moments when fierce hatred clouds the eyes»: Kaveryn on cooperation with Mentusava

Kanstantsin Kaveryn, the host of the morning show «Obychnoye utro» (Normal Morning), spoke in a new episode of TOK about his relationship with his co-host Maryna Mentusava, their disputes, and mutual grievances.
Nastassia Rouda asked Kaveryn how working alongside Maryna Mentusava affected him and if he had changed during this time.
«It's a process. This kind of process, an attempt to listen. There were moments when sheer hatred clouded my eyes: "What nonsense are you talking?! And you understand that you are wrong. Well, you know!" And she knows it,» Kanstantsin said.
Rouda suggested that in such moments, Maryna might genuinely believe she is right.
«There are moments when I am absolutely convinced that she understands she is wrong. She gets very angry then because she understands it, but still stands her ground. There are such moments».
Nastassia also recalled one of the «Obychnoye utro» episodes during which Kaveryn publicly criticized Mentusava's post on social networks. Many viewers were outraged that the co-host decided to reprimand Maryna on air for her personal opinion.
«I am still convinced that if you have publicly posted something somewhere, any person at any time of day can present you with anything about it», —
Kaveryn replied and assured that he would have nothing against his own publications being discussed in a similar manner on air.
However, in Mentusava's case, according to Kaveryn, their joint work should have been taken into account.
«But again, the context comes into play here. We are colleagues, we are in the same boat, we are in the same studio, and so on. We host the same program... Well, and then we talked, we discussed it».
Kaveryn also gave an opposite example:

She later said: «I honestly don't understand what happened». But I am still convinced that this should not be done. It is wrong towards a colleague».
«Were you offended at that moment?» — asked Rouda.
«Well, yes. Like: "Why are you doing this?" — Kanstantsin agreed and added: «Each of us has something to say about each other».
According to Kaveryn, such situations ultimately boil down to the ability to find a compromise.
«But again, we return to this art of compromises, to tolerance, and so on, and so forth».
