State Military-Industrial Committee presented a tracked firefighting complex based on a Soviet combat vehicle
The firefighting complex combines the off-road capability of a classic tracked platform with advanced firefighting technologies, the committee reports.

The Multi-purpose Lightly Armored Universal Transporter SHT-LBu (Multi-purpose Lightly Armored Universal Transporter), which was once developed at the Kharkiv Tractor Plant, is a vehicle that has proven its excellent off-road capability and reliability in the harshest climatic conditions. Specialists of the 140th Repair Plant, together with Pazhsnab LLC, finalized it, the State Military-Industrial Committee reported.
Purpose: delivery of combat crew personnel and fire-fighting equipment to the site of an emergency; extinguishing 4th-class fires in forest areas; conducting emergency rescue operations in hard-to-reach terrain; effective suppression of fire sources on site and in motion.

Key Characteristics:
- maximum weight: 12,100 kg;
- maximum speed on land: 50 km/h;
- engine: turbodiesel, 300 hp;
- cruising range on highway: 400 km;
- maximum climbable gradient: 30°;
- specific ground pressure: 0.05 MPa (0.5 kgf/cm²);
- dimensions (length — width — height): 9500×3300×2700 mm.
The special firefighting equipment of the complex allows for extinguishing fires in motion using a bumper-mounted water cannon. Water is supplied through the top-mounted water cannon and side pressure nozzles without stopping the vehicle, and water can be independently drawn from open reservoirs and fire hydrants.
