Lukashenka stated that Europe has problems with food and there is a readiness to help
“If Europe has problems with food due to this drought, we need to gradually cooperate with them.”
Alexander Lukashenka, during a working trip to the Minsk region, spoke in favor of trying to build business ties and cooperation with western neighbors "even in the current difficult situation," writes BelTA.
“We need to cooperate with our neighbors. With Poles, Lithuanians, and Latvians. In this situation, if Europe has problems with food due to this drought, we need to gradually cooperate with them. Neighbors are neighbors. If we not only look at each other through a scope but also begin to cooperate economically, it indicates that we might even manage to avoid war,” he said.
Lukashenka also commented on student protests in France.
“We are not happy, I do not applaud what is happening in France, unlike our journalists. Because this is unacceptable. It's the same as what we had (in 2020) — politicians using children for political purposes. What's good about that? Of course, Macron is harshly stopping these things,” he noted. “The only thing they can be reproached for is: why was it good for them when it happened to us, but when the same thing happens to them, it's already bad? You understand — double standards.”
Alexander Lukashenka emphasized that it is unacceptable to use children for political purposes in such a way.
“Well, he's 12-15 years old. What are you dissatisfied with? You haven't even started living yet. It's obvious that politicians are using them for their own purposes. Elections in France are in March. I think things will calm down somewhat. But there's no need to be particularly happy about this. The only thing, of course, is to point a finger at them: guys, why were you happy when these children were used in our country?” he added.
