In Gomel, a 17-year-old guy who killed a classmate was sentenced

The teenager killed his peer with a kitchen knife right during class.

In Gomel, a verdict was delivered in the case of the murder of a 17-year-old student of a road-building college. His classmate, who fatally wounded the teenager with a knife, was found sane, Onliner.by writes.

The tragedy occurred on March 25 in the college workshop. During a conflict, one of the students stabbed his classmate. The victim died in the hospital.

The investigation found that the teenagers had been in conflict for a long time. Despite this, they were assigned to the same subgroup during their practical training.

The trial began on September 11 and, at the prosecutor's request, was held behind closed doors. The accused was found guilty of murder (part 1 of article 139 of the Criminal Code) and sentenced to eight years in a penal colony.

In addition, he must pay the victim's side 70 thousand rubles as compensation for moral damages.
