As a result of an accident in the Guria region (Adjara) at the Gomi Mountain resort, four citizens of Belarus died, and fifteen people, including six underage children, sustained injuries of varying severity, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
The road accident occurred yesterday, August 12; there were 19 citizens of Belarus in the minivan.
"According to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, the minivan driver failed to ensure safe driving of the vehicle, as a result of which the minivan veered off the road and fell into a gorge," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed.
Four people were taken to hospitals in the cities of Ozurgeti and Chokhatauri. Eleven people are in the Batumi Republican Hospital. Two are in intensive care. According to the chief doctor, their lives are not in danger.
