From today, Belarusian drivers are obliged to turn on headlights even during the day
From August 25, a special comprehensive event of the State Automobile Inspection "Attention — Children!" begins in Belarus, which will last until September 5.

During this period, all drivers must turn on dipped headlights or daytime running lights, if provided by the vehicle, even when driving during the day. This requirement is enshrined in point 166.9 of the Traffic Rules.
Violation of this rule entails a warning or a fine of up to three basic values — up to 111 rubles.
On the eve of the new academic year, the State Automobile Inspection urges drivers and other road users to be especially attentive. Control on the roads will be strengthened and preventive measures will be carried out. Special attention will be paid to child safety.
