Belarusian man tried to smuggle cigarettes in roofing felt into Poland
Polish customs officers discovered a large shipment of smuggled cigarettes in a truck that was crossing the Belarusian-Polish border through the "Bobrovniki" checkpoint.

A 40-year-old citizen of Belarus was transporting, according to documents, rolls of roofing felt. However, during the inspection, the truck was first x-rayed, and then carefully inspected. Inside the rolls, more than 150 thousand packs of cigarettes, hidden from control, were found.

The value of the confiscated contraband was estimated at approximately 3 million zlotys (about 813 thousand dollars).
The Belarusian driver was detained. The court ordered his remand in custody. Polish law enforcement officers initiated a criminal case.
