«If you close your f**king mouths»: OMON officer from Hrodna caught doping showed his highly cultured demeanor
Artsyom Lohish was once a running champion. In 2020, serving in OMON, he played the role of a victim of a protesting taxi driver. Now he has appeared again in social networks.

The author of threads with the nickname girikalex, known for leaving ironic comments under posts by Lukashenka's supporters, posted screenshots of messages he received from Artsyom Lohish in response to his statements.

Artsyom Lohish wrote this from his own account with a red-green flag as his avatar.
Girikalex scrolled through the pages and discovered that an OMON fighter — and a former athlete at that — was writing to him with dirty expletives.
Artsyom Lohish is from the agro-town Tsyrin, Karelichy district. He was a multiple champion of Belarus, won gold at the Minsk Half Marathon, and a bronze medal at the 2018 European Cross Country Championships. He has a wife and a son.
However, his sports career ended when the National Anti-Doping Agency caught Lohish using the prohibited substance Meldonium and issued a verdict of a three-year disqualification, until 2027.
Simultaneously with sports, since at least 2013, Lohish served in OMON and in August 2020 participated in suppressing protests against election fraud and dictatorship. Lohish then became prominent in Hrodna as the main figure in the high-profile political case of Aliaksei Lapa.

On August 11, 2020, protests took place in Hrodna, as throughout the country. Late in the evening, a group of security forces in balaclavas without identification marks arrived to disperse a solidarity chain near the "Kastrychnik" cinema. People managed to hide, but in the parking lot, the security forces saw the car of taxi driver Aliaksei Lapa, where, as it seemed to them, one of the protesters had hidden. To prevent him from leaving, the security forces began to hit the car with batons.
The frightened driver tried to drive away to escape, and in doing so, he clipped two attackers, after which another group of OMON officers stopped the car, and the driver and his passengers were severely beaten.
A criminal case was opened against Lapa for «violence against a police officer», where Lohish was recognized as a victim because the car clipped him, although it caused no harm. Despite this, the prosecutor requested three years in prison for the taxi driver, but he managed to escape to Lithuania and seek political asylum before the verdict.
And now Artsyom Lohish has once again prominently intervened in politics, this time with threats on social media.
