Workers who performed poorly during the harvest have begun to arrive in the Special Operations Forces (SOF), the press service of the Ministry of Defense reported.
The initiative to send such personnel to the army belongs to Aliaksandr Lukashenka, who on July 22, at a selector meeting, proposed sending truants and violators to the Ukrainian border instead of criminal prosecution: "Everyone who doesn't know how to work - to the army and to the southern border... A week of training (grenade launcher, machine gun) - and there."
Lukashenka emphasized that this applies to both ordinary workers and officials.
The Ministry of Defense officially formalized this procedure as a mobilization call-up for reservists to check the combat and mobilization readiness of military enlistment offices.
The reservists went through the reception point, and those who had not previously served and knew about the army only from movies took the military oath.
An separate rifle battalion is being formed from those called up. For 60 days at the training ground, they will undergo intensive daily training in fire, engineering, and military-medical preparation (including at night and in remote locations), and will also be introduced to new models of weaponry.
"After completing the training course, they will be sent to areas for performing combat training tasks," the Ministry of Defense reported.
According to Lukashenka, they should be sent to the Ukrainian border.
