The men were pulled from the tunnel of the Trishuli-3A hydropower plant and taken to a hospital. Authorities hope to rescue about 40 more people from underground.
Two workers were found alive in Nepal nine days after a devastating flood, the BBC reports.
The rescued individuals are named Sanjay Shah and Kabir Maharjan. They were taken to a hospital. Kabir's brother Amir told AFP that the whole family is very happy.
"A weight has been lifted from my heart," he said.
Later, the body of another person was found in the tunnel. Suresh Raut, a representative of the Nepal Electricity Authority, reported that it is not yet possible to identify the deceased.
"It appears the person died after being caught in a stream of water while trying to get out of the tunnel," Raut said.
Authorities hope to rescue about 40 more people from there. The passages are blocked with mud and rocks, so rescuers have to dig new openings to get underground.
The sudden flood in Nepal began on August 26. According to preliminary reports, it was caused by a glacier collapse in the Himalayas on the border of Nepal and China. The torrent of water, ice, and rocks destroyed settlements, bridges, and hydropower facilities.
According to the latest data from the Nepalese emergency agency, 1287 bodies have been found, and another 5083 people are considered missing. The military reports that more than 400 Nepalese citizens and 270 foreigners have been rescued after the flood.
