In Poland, a train crashed at speed into a truck blocked at a railway crossing VIDEO
In Gdańsk, a truck became blocked between the barriers at a railway crossing. Soon, a passenger train crashed into it at high speed. The moment of the accident was captured by surveillance cameras, reports rmf24.pl.

According to police, witnesses urged the driver to break through the barrier and clear the railway tracks, but the man reacted too late to this sound advice.

The 42-year-old truck driver, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, managed to get out of the cab himself after the collision. An alcohol test showed that he was sober. The man was taken to the hospital for examination.

The train driver and two passengers also sustained minor injuries. Medics provided them with assistance on the spot. Approximately 300 people were on the train in total.

The accident significantly affected train traffic in the region: delays occurred for 279 trains. Preliminary material losses to the railway infrastructure are estimated at approximately 140,000 zloty, or about 38,000 dollars.
