Work has begun on the reconstruction of the historic mill and chapel in the Loshytski manor and park complex, Minsk-Novosti agency reports .
Work is simultaneously underway on both objects. The contractor is the same company that previously dealt with the restoration of historical buildings from the 18th-19th centuries on Chyzheŭskikh Street, 17, and in Chyzheŭskikh Lane, 5 and 6.
At the mill, the foundation is currently being reinforced. Structures are being reinforced and concreted both externally and internally. The next step is to perform waterproofing and backfilling, after which bored piles will be installed along its contour inside the building.
Archaeological research is being conducted on the territory of the chapel. Specialists have uncovered the foundation of the preserved part of the building, as well as the discovered foundation part of the lost section of the chapel. It is made of rubble stone and also requires reinforcement from inside and out.
In addition, the slope is being filled in and embankments are being formed on the site to improve the terrain, which was initially not very convenient for construction.
Archaeologists play an important role in the reconstruction of the objects. They are working on both sites, searching for artifacts that can help more accurately restore the history of these buildings.
