Avalanche covered 15 climbers in Kabardino-Balkaria. Seven dead reported

An avalanche came down from the slope of Mount Mizhirgi, 5025 meters high, in the Bezengi Gorge of Kabardino-Balkaria, Russia.
A group of 15 climbers was trapped under the snow.
On the evening of September 6, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations officially reported two deaths and ten people whose fate remained unknown.
Three injured individuals were transported to Nalchik by Mi-8 helicopter.
On the morning of September 7, Russian media reported that the number of fatalities had increased to seven.
Rescuers are working at the avalanche site, but searches are complicated by difficult terrain and the danger of new avalanches.
