Kukharev: Construction of the third metro line is not being postponed
He called the information about postponing the deadlines by two years a fake.

The construction of the capital's subway is strictly on schedule, stated Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev on the "Belarus 1" TV channel. He called the information about postponing the deadlines by two years a fake, writes Tochka.by.
The construction of the second stage of the third, Zelenaluzhskaya metro line is planned to be completed in 2028.
This branch will affect Bangalore Square and will run to Melnikaite Street [there will be three stations: "Park of Friendship of Peoples", "Komarovskaya" and "Perespa"]. Currently, the construction of three stations is underway on this section.
"We have purchased a second tunnel boring machine, which is already operating underground. This significantly speeds up processes. We can work on laying tunnels in parallel. We have also simplified issues related to utility relocation. Now this will yield a significant result in accelerating the pace," — noted the head of the city.
According to him, the construction of the fourth, ring metro line is planned to begin in 2027. It will significantly improve transport logistics within the subway system and serve a much larger number of passengers.
Interestingly, the official newspaper "Belarus Today" wrote at the end of August that the completion of the second stage is planned by 2030.
