15-year-old actor from Grodno recited «Goy ty, Rus' moya, rodnaya» with anguish. And rightfully received criticism from Belarusians
15-year-old Grodno native Vyacheslav Konorazov posted a video on social media — a recitation of Sergei Yesenin's poem «Goy ty, Rus' moya, rodnaya». His delivery was like on a big stage: emotions, anguish, a gaze into the distance. The teenager positions the clip as a self-audition. But instead of admiration, he received a wave of criticism.

«Couldn't find any Belarusian poems?»
There are over a hundred reactions in the video's comments. And a significant part of them is about the choice of material. This looks especially ironic given how the boy introduces himself on social media: «Hi, my name is Slava, and I am an actor from Belarus!»
«Couldn't find any Belarusian poems?» — Belarusians ask in the comments.
«An actor from Belarus, but not a Belarusian one. Why promote 'Maskal' (Russian) stuff?» — some are indignant.
«True Belarusians promote Belarusian cultural figures,» — others note.
«You'd better have read Maxim Bahdanovich or Yanka Kupala,» — others add.
Some react even more harshly, not sparing the young man:
«Maskal, don't stick to Belarusians.»
«You are Russian, but by no means Belarusian.»
«Dear sir, one can serve Melpomene, or one can serve the Maskal regime. Forgive me, but you are a cultural collaborator.»
Other commentators try to shift the conversation to a professional plane:
«Reading with expression does not mean shouting.»
«Dude, you're terribly overacting,» — people suggest in the comments.

In 2025, he took second place in the «Living Classics» competition, reading a Belarusian work — «The Land» by Zmitrok Biadulia.
And in 2026, Vyacheslav won the same competition, but with different material: «Not on the List» by Boris Vasilyev.
Parallel to this, the boy acts in films. His filmography already includes several projects, including the series «Partisans», «Far from Moscow», «Caesar», as well as the film «Not Alone at Home — 3». He has the main role in the short film «Palieva».
On social media, the young man reads Mayakovsky, Yevtushenko, and even starred in a video portraying Yesenin.
Konorazov's manner — loud, with anguish — resembled the television version of Yesenin. Incidentally, the boy admires Russian actor Sergei Bezrukov, who played the role of the poet in a Russian series released in 2005.
In Vyacheslav's short self-audition videos — texts about the homeland (Soviet), heroism, partisans.
