Paulyuchenka on Poczobut's return: "A bifurcation point, after which much will change"

Fyodar Paulyuchenka, on the air of the YouTube channel "Sasha, what are you talking about?!", explained why he considers the decision of former political prisoner Andrzej Poczobut to return to Belarus a significant political event and what consequences it may have, in his opinion.

"I see a lot of symbolism in this very arrival. And I think that, in general, his decision to go and the trip itself is a turning point, a bifurcation point, after which much will change," Paulyuchenka stated live on the YouTube channel "Sasha, what are you talking about?!"

Paulyuchenka reminded that after a relatively calm summer, political processes will intensify in the autumn, both in the region and globally. He views Poczobut's return to Belarus as part of these processes.

"This arrival of Andrzej Poczobut, it seems to me, is a rather significant part of this entire political process taking place in the region."

The analyst drew particular attention to what is happening after Poczobut's arrival. Despite the repressive situation in the country and the negative reaction from propagandists, the Belarusian authorities did not detain him.

"A man arrives, spits on threats from medal-wearing propagandists, arrives in Hrodna. Azaronak's ass has already exploded because he took a picture against the background of the former barracks of the 81st Infantry Regiment. The last defense point of the city in September 1939."

However, much more important than the reaction of propaganda, in Paulyuchenka's opinion, will be whether Poczobut can remain in Belarus unhindered.

"If everything is fine with Poczobut, then this, I would say, opens the way for long-term conclusions.

Everything indicates that Poczobut's arrival should have provoked a reaction from the Kremlin. I (...) am talking about the curators who specifically control the Belarusian situation."

Paulyuchenka believes that for these people, the very fact of Poczobut's return to Belarus should be "completely unacceptable."

"Against the backdrop of what the Kremlin is trying to allow itself to do, Poczobut's arrival, moreover, simply defiantly, should lead to some kind of reverse reaction. (...)

So, if this reaction does not follow, if he calmly arrives and leaves, then one can say (I myself did not expect to say this) about a certain independence of Luk[ashenk]a in some matters."
